I hate eating when it’s hot outside. If I could eat a banana and water and survive the day, I would. This was really fresh and bearable. Inspired by myself laying in bed, compromising with my own body on what I would actually eat.
Jalapeno + Guac Burgers
Servings: 4 patties
Ingredients
- 1 head of iceberg lettuce
- 1 to mato
- 3 garlic dill pickles
- 1 lb grass fed ground beef
- 1/2 yellow cooking onion minced
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 1 jalapeno pepper finely chopped
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp chili flakes
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 lime squeezed
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
Instructions
Burger Patties
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, jalapeno, one egg, chili flakes, salt.
- Form patties.
- In a large frying pan, melt coconut oil on a low heat cook patties for 10 minutes and then flip.
- Cook for 10 more minutes.
Burger Stuffs
- Slice tomato and pickles.
- Gently tear whole lettuce leaves from the head of lettuce to use instead of buns.
Guacamole Spread
- Add half of the avocado, loosely chopped, and lime juice and 2 tbsp of water to a blender.
- Blend for 10 seconds.
